The Allied Jerrycan set in 1:35 scale from the Spanish brand Vallejo holds Allied jerrycans as a scenic prop. It is not a vehicle kit but an accessory added to a finished model or to a diorama.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of Allied jerrycans in 1:35 scale from the Vallejo range of diorama accessories. This is not a vehicle kit or a stand-alone model; these are small props added to already built equipment or distributed around the surface of a diorama. The exact number of pieces in the package and the material of the castings are given on the box. Check the contents once unpacked and choose the glue according to the material.
Jerrycans are among the few details that can turn a cleanly built model into a vehicle in service. They are strapped to fenders, side racks and the rear of a cargo bed, stacked on the beds of trucks, stood beside a field refueling point or distributed around a repair site. They also work as a filler for empty areas in a composition and as a guide to scale, which tells the viewer how large the vehicle in front of them is.
First cut and sand away the remnants of the sprue gates and the mold parting lines, wash the parts and let them dry. A primer base matters with small props: without it, paint holds poorly on a smooth surface and rubs off during handling. It pays to paint the jerrycans separately on a stick or on double-sided tape and only glue the finished pieces to the model, as otherwise you cannot reach them with a brush. A brown or dark wash will bring out the pressed ribs and the outline of the cap, and a dry brush will pull out the edges and the handles. Small traces of wear on the edges look more believable than a continuous layer of dirt. If you are strapping the jerrycans to the model, make the straps from thin foil or from lead sheet.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. Paints, glue and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
