This injection-molded plastic kit from the Ukrainian brand MiniArt captures the British Austin armored car in the Indian Pattern version in British service, in 1:35 scale. It is the Interior Kit release, with a fully detailed driver's compartment and turret interiors and a detailed engine bay. The set includes photo-etched parts, clear parts and decals for several versions, and the hatches can be built open or closed.
Austin armored cars were among the widely used fighting vehicles of the First World War and the interwar years. The Indian Pattern version with its two turrets served in British hands and was used on colonial and policing duties. It is a rewarding subject with a distinctive twin-turret silhouette.
Assemble and paint the interior and the engine before you close up the hull, and leave the hatches open so that the detail shows. Glue the plastic with liquid cement and the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. For weathering use washes and pigments for dust and mud effects.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
