MiniArt 1:35 B-Type London Omnibus 1919 is a detailed injection-molded plastic kit of the legendary London double-decker bus from the end of the First World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
This plastic kit captures the London B-type double-decker bus as it was in 1919. The model from MiniArt is injection-molded in plastic and the package also holds photo-etched parts and a decal sheet with period advertising panels. The bus has a carefully worked engine, interior and glazing. Glue, paints and figures are not included in the package.
The B-type bus, from the London General Omnibus Company, was among the first mass-produced motor buses in London. It was introduced from 1910 and became an icon of city transport; some of the vehicles were requisitioned during the First World War to carry soldiers to the front. The open upper deck and the striking advertising panels give the model its characteristic period look.
Thanks to its many separate parts and photo-etch, the model is meant rather for more experienced builders. Finish and paint the interior, the staircase and the chassis before assembling the body. Use the enclosed decals for the advertising panels and protect them with a varnish. An airbrush helps with an even coat over the larger areas, and light washes suit the patina and the signs of age.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
