Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German fighter aircraft Fw 190D-9 in 1:72 scale from IBG Models. It is a modern mold with fine surface detail and engraved panel lines. According to the manufacturer the package offers decals for historically documented camouflage schemes of machines used at the end of the Second World War over Czech territory.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190D-9, nicknamed the Dora, was the final production fighter version of the Fw 190. It differed from the radial-engined versions in its elongated nose with the inverted V12 liquid-cooled Junkers Jumo engine and in its lengthened tail. In the last months of the war these machines were used over the Czech lands as well, where they took part in defensive actions and withdrawal operations right up to the capitulation in May 1945.
Use liquid cement for plastic and work in subassemblies. Finish and paint the pilot's cockpit before closing the fuselage; masks pay off on the glazing. Apply a primer before painting and lay the colors on with an airbrush. Late-war German fighters offer rewarding ground for spraying camouflage and for restrained wear on the leading edges.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
