This injection-molded plastic kit from MiniArt captures the American Bantam 40 BRC light reconnaissance and liaison car in 1:35 scale. In the Special Edition the basic model is supplemented with photo-etched metal and a set of British crew figures, so a small genre scene comes out of the box. The model offers a finely detailed surface, a detailed drivetrain and a well worked-out interior.
The American Bantam BRC-40 was one of the vehicles that stood at the birth of the legendary light off-road car concept in the early 1940s. It served for liaison, for reconnaissance and as a light tractor, and within Allied cooperation it also reached British and other units. Thanks to its low weight and simple design it was popular for moving through heavy terrain.
Use thin cement for plastic and attach the small photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. It is worth painting the interior and the engine and picking out the details before closing up the body. We recommend a primer applied with an airbrush, then the color coats and finally washes and pigments for mud and dust effects. The figures will come into their own with shading using oil paints.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
