Injection-molded plastic kit of the modern German Bergepanzer BPz3A1 Buffalo tracked recovery (engineer) vehicle in 1:35 scale from Hobby Boss. It is a comprehensive, detailed kit with a large number of parts, photo-etched parts and vinyl tracks. The vehicle is not for combat but for recovering and repairing damaged equipment in the field.
The BPz3A1 is the upgraded version of the BPz3 recovery vehicle, developed by the Rheinmetall group with demanding deployments in mind, for example in Afghanistan. It received strengthened armor on the hull floor against mines and add-on slat (cage) armor against anti-tank rocket weapons. The vehicle is equipped with a winch, a crane jib and a dozer blade and serves to tow and repair damaged tanks and other tracked vehicles in the field.
Finish and paint the running gear, the wheels and the lower hull before you close them up. Bend the photo-etched parts and the fine slat armor over a metal ruler. Seat the vinyl tracks so that they follow the wheels naturally. An airbrush suits the modern German olive or three-tone camouflage; suggest wear with chipping on the edges, a dark wash in the detail and dust and mud pigments on the running gear and the blade.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
