An injection-molded plastic kit of the German BMW R75 heavy motorcycle with a sidecar from Italeri in 1:35 scale. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted; it is a classic plastic kit meant to be glued and sprayed. For the exact contents of the package (the number of parts, the decals, the painting schemes), follow the instructions enclosed and the markings on the box.
The BMW R75 was a German heavy motorcycle with a sidecar, widely deployed by the Wehrmacht during the Second World War. It was powered by an air-cooled flat-twin engine and was marked by drive to the sidecar wheel as well, which gave it excellent going in difficult terrain. It served for reconnaissance and liaison and as a weapons carrier, and it was deployed on every front from North Africa to the Eastern Front.
On a motorcycle, start with a careful build of the frame and the engine: the flat-twin engine and the gearbox tend to be the visual focus, so it pays to paint and weather them before the final assembly. Bring out the chrome and metal parts (the exhaust, the handlebars, the small mechanisms) with a metalizer or polished metal. Spray the whole thing with thinned paints over a primer; a matte varnish evens the surface out and serves as a base for washes into the corners of the frame and dust pigments on the lower areas and the sidecar.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
