MiniArt 1:35 BZ-38 Refueller Mod. 1939 is a plastic kit of the Soviet airfield tanker truck of the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet BZ-38 airfield refueling truck in the Mod. 1939 version in 1:35 scale from MiniArt. The model captures the wheeled tanker that served to refuel aircraft at field and permanent airfields. MiniArt is known for fine execution and richly broken-down parts, so the model gives a good basis for a detailed build and for use in a diorama.
The BZ-38 was a Soviet aircraft refueling truck built on the chassis of the three-axle ZIS-6 truck. On its frame it carried a cylindrical tank with pumping and distribution equipment for filling aircraft fuel tanks. Vehicles of this type were an ordinary part of the ground support of the Soviet Air Force in the 1930s and during the Second World War.
A thin plastic cement is recommended, and small parts are best cleaned of flash with a sharp knife. It is practical to finish and paint the chassis, the engine section and the tank before the final assembly. An airbrush and a base coat of primer suit the paintwork; Soviet green shades are typical. The surface comes alive with washes run into the recesses and with pigments suggesting dust and mud on the chassis and wheels. A matte varnish unifies the look at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
