Car Maintenance 1930-40s 1:35 is a set of injection-molded plastic figures from MiniArt; it holds four figures, tools and photo-etched parts. The car is not included.
Responsibility details are not available.
This genre set brings four unassembled and unpainted figures showing the repair and maintenance of a car in the 1930s and 1940s, in 1:35 scale. A tool set and photo-etched parts round out the box. The figures are injection-molded plastic and suit both civilian and military scenes around period cars. The vehicle is not part of the set.
Maintenance and repair of vehicles were part of everyday life and of army support alike. Figures of mechanics and helpers in period clothing, bent over an engine or with a tool in hand, give a diorama with a car both action and a human scale. The set is designed to go with the build of a period car.
Glue the plastic parts with thin cement for plastic, and the fine photo-etched parts and tools with cyanoacrylate. The clothing comes out best when airbrushed over a filler primer and then brought out in the folds with a wash and drybrushing. Paint the skin and the small objects with a brush; metallic shades and a light wash bring the tools to life.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. The car, paints and glue are not included in the package.
