Dutch Traffic Signs 1930s and 1940s 1:35 is a set of Dutch traffic signs of the 1930s and 1940s for modelers to bring dioramas to life — it is not a vehicle model.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set brings Dutch traffic signs of the 1930s and 1940s in 1:35 scale. It is neither a model of a vehicle nor of equipment but a scenic accessory that gives a diorama period and local authenticity. The signs suit urban, village and wartime scenes set in western Europe of that time.
The package consists of the parts of traffic signs — posts and boards — supplemented by period markings in the form of decals and paper artwork. Once assembled and with the markings applied, realistic elements of a street scene arise: warning, prohibitory and information signs matching Dutch roads of the prewar and wartime period. The accessory helps to fill empty space in a diorama and to raise its storytelling value.
Align and glue the parts, and treat the boards with the artwork with a matte clear coat to unify the sheen. For a period look light weathering suits it — fine washes and pigments will suggest dust, rust and wear. The posts can be weathered toward the color of painted metal or concrete according to the character of the scene.
This is a scenic accessory for a diorama, not a vehicle model. Glue, paints and the base scene are not included in the package.
