It is a so-called what-if model: it joins a real project that was never finished with hypothetical equipment for night fighting. Figures of soldiers with infrared sights are usually part of the package. The instructions in the box state the exact contents of the particular package.
The E-100 was a German project for a super-heavy tank weighing around 140 tons, from the end of the Second World War, which was to carry a massive gun in a turret derived from the Maus tank. Development of super-heavy tanks was wound down in 1944 and the project was given low priority, so that only a single chassis was laid down, and it was not finished by the end of the war. Neither the turret nor the full armament ever came about. The Nachtjäger form with infrared night equipment is hypothetical: it joins this unfinished project with the German attempts of the day at seeing in the dark, such as the Vampir sight for assault rifles.
Assemble and fine-tune the running gear and the underside of the massive hull before closing and painting it. The large flat surfaces of the armor are rewarding for late German camouflage with soft transitions from an airbrush. Glue the infrared searchlights and the fine parts on at the very end, so that they do not break off. Fine-tune the weathering with dark washes in the seams, a dry brush on the edges and heavy dust pigments on the running gear: a giant machine can take strong weathering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
