A photo-etched set from the Czech maker Eduard in 1:35 scale, intended for detailing the interior of the plastic model of the American M113 armored personnel carrier in the ACAV form. It holds fine interior features: panels, consoles, brackets, belts and small fittings that cannot be rendered faithfully in plastic. It is not a vehicle model but an accessory for a faithful view into an open fighting compartment.
The M113 was an American tracked armored personnel carrier with an aluminum hull, one of the most widely built machines of its kind. The ACAV conversion, the Armored Cavalry Assault Vehicle, added extra shields and machine guns for the use of armored cavalry in the Vietnam War. This light and mobile vehicle proved itself in a great variety of roles and served with a number of armies around the world.
