Responsibility details are not available.
This turned part from the Polish company Aber replaces the plastic barrel of the FH77BW L52 howitzer on a model of the Swedish Archer self-propelled artillery system from the Hobby Boss kit. Metal holds its shape, has no lengthwise seam and the muzzle is drilled to a real depth.
The Archer is a highly automated artillery system that combines a howitzer of 155 mm caliber with a barrel length of 52 calibers with an articulated Volvo off-road chassis. The crew stays in an armored cab and controls the weapon remotely, while an automatic loader handles the rounds. The system can take up a firing position, fire and drive away again within a short time, which protects it from counter-battery fire. It was developed for the Swedish army, and its deployment in recent years has brought it a great deal of attention from modelers.
Cut the original barrel off with a saw as close to the mount as possible and level the surface. Try the metal part dry first and check that it points straight from the side and from above. Cyanoacrylate will tighten the joint; with a heavier part epoxy is safer. Wash the metal before spraying and prime it with a base paint intended for metals.
The package contains the replacement barrel only; the basic kit, paints and glue are not in it.
