The rear stowage basket on the turret is the place where the crew of armored equipment carries everything that will not fit inside - tarpaulins, crates, packs, camouflage nets and personal kit. It is precisely a loaded basket that turns a model into a machine that goes somewhere, whereas an empty basket reads as a display piece. The second part of the set is smoke grenade launchers in the closed state, that is with their caps fitted, as a vehicle looks away from combat.
The accessory is worked up in 1:35 scale, that is in the most widespread scale of military equipment. The load in the basket forms one piece, so there is no putting together of individual bundles and crates and no working out how to layer them. The closed launchers replace the kit parts, which tend to be simplified.
The parts are not polystyrene, so glue them with cyanoacrylate glue and roughen the joint surface beforehand. Cut surplus material and traces of manufacture off with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder away. Before painting, wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry, otherwise the paint will not hold. Paint the load away from the model and fit it only at the end; every tarpaulin and crate takes a different shade, so that the group does not merge into one color. The closed smoke grenade launchers need only be matched to the base color of the vehicle and completed with a wash into the seams.
The set is for modelers who build armored equipment in 1:35 scale and want to add kit and finer detail to a model. Before buying, compare the shape of the basket and the layout of the launchers with your own kit. Paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
