Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Bergepanzer 38 (Hetzer) recovery vehicle fitted with a 2 cm anti-aircraft gun, in 1:35 scale from Thunder Model. The kit offers a full interior, a large number of parts and photo-etched elements, and it allows various combinations of early and late production features to be built. According to the name this is the late production in the standard edition; the exact contents of the package are not stated here.
The Bergepanzer 38 was a light recovery tractor built on the chassis of the Jagdpanzer 38 (Hetzer) tank destroyer and issued to units for recovering damaged equipment. At the end of the war modifications were made in which a single-barrel 2 cm Flak 38 anti-aircraft gun was mounted in the open superstructure for light anti-aircraft defense. It was an improvised solution of the late phase of the war that went into combat only in isolated cases.
Build and paint the full interior before closing the hull up; the running gear and the inside come first. Bond the parts with a thin cement for plastic and the photo-etched parts with super glue, and align the tracks with a slight sag. Lay down a primer and paint with an airbrush; the late-war three-color camouflage is typical. Bring out the panel lines with a wash and suggest dust and mud on the running gear with pigments; tune the fine gun last.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
