A plastic kit of the German 170V passenger car with a cabriolet-limousine body (Cabrio Saloon) in 1:35 scale from the Ukrainian maker MiniArt. Civilian cars of the 1930s and 1940s are a rewarding subject - they stand out on their own in a display case and also as a way of bringing a diorama to life.
The 170V type, built from the middle of the 1930s, was among the most widespread German passenger cars of its day; the real car is the well-known Mercedes-Benz. It was powered by a four-cylinder engine of about 1.7 liters, and the cabriolet-limousine body combined fixed side window frames with a folding fabric roof. The cars ran in civilian and official service and many of them stayed on the roads long after the war.
With a car it is the smooth paint of the body that counts - clean the parts carefully, prime them and apply the paint in several thin coats, ideally with an airbrush. Paint the interior and the small parts before the final assembly. Pick out the gloss and chrome elements with metallic shades and a fine brush, and leave the fabric roof matte.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
