A plastic figure set, German engineers with the Goliath vehicle, in 1:35 scale from Dragon: figures of combat engineers with a remotely controlled demolition vehicle.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic set of figures in 1:35 scale from Dragon, showing German combat engineers of the Second World War together with the remotely controlled Goliath demolition vehicle. It is not a vehicle model in the usual sense: the emphasis is on figures of soldiers in action and the accompanying vehicle, which together make up a diorama scene. The exact number of figures and poses is not stated here.
The Goliath was a small German remotely controlled tracked carrier of a demolition charge, steered by cable. The engineers guided it to its target, a fortification, a tank or an obstacle, where it set off its explosive charge. Combat engineers (Pioniere) were among the technically trained troops that cleared the way for an attack: they removed obstacles and minefields and destroyed fortifications. The set captures exactly this working together of a crew and its vehicle.
Cut the figures off the sprues, clean the parting lines up and glue them with a thin cement for plastic. Apply a primer before painting. Paint the figures in stages: a base tone, shadows into the folds and lightened edges, and give the faces the greatest care. The uniforms of the German engineers matched the late period of the war; finish the Goliath vehicle with a fine wash and chipped paint on the edges.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
