The soldiers are depicted in winter clothing from the end of the war, and the set comes with richly equipped sprues of weapons and gear — helmets, canteens, pouches, bayonets, and a wide selection of infantry weapons.
The Ardennes Offensive, also known as the Battle of the Bulge, was the last major German offensive operation on the Western Front at the turn of 1944 and 1945. It took place in harsh winter conditions in snow-covered forests and became an iconic subject for models and dioramas from the war's final months. The figures represent infantry in late-war winter gear.
Assemble the figures and choose suitable weapons for them from the included sprues. Paint the uniforms in shades of late-war gray and field gray-green wool, and add highlights and shadows in the folds. Light dusty effects and a hint of snow on the boots and lower hems of clothing will enhance the winter scene.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints, and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
