An unassembled plastic kit of the German Leopard 2A7V main battle tank in 1:35 scale, according to the name with workable link tracks.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Leopard 2A7V is the current form of the German Leopard 2 main battle tank, introduced with the Bundeswehr. It carries a 120 mm smoothbore gun and differs from older versions in strengthened protection, revised crew equipment and a number of details on the turret and the hull by which it can easily be told apart.
The designation in the name says that the tracks are made up of individual links that stay movable once assembled. The track then sits naturally on the road wheels and sags slightly between the return rollers, which helps the finished model a great deal. Assembling the links takes time, though, so count on it as a separate stage of the build.
The kit is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Assemble the track links in shorter runs and dose the glue carefully so that the joints stay movable. Let the finished track cure directly on the outline of the running gear so that it remembers the shape. Paint the lower hull and the road wheels before you fit the tracks. Wash and degrease the model before painting; the thinner and the thinning ratio follow the instructions stated by the paint manufacturer on the packaging.
The kit suits modelers who build present-day military equipment in 1:35 scale and do not mind the more laborious assembly of the tracks. The finished model is rewarding even without a diorama, because a modern Leopard is easy to recognize in a display case. Paints, glue, filler and figures are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
