Plastic kit of the V-1 Fieseler Fi 103 Reichenberg in 1:35 scale from Bronco — the piloted version of the German flying bomb.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the piloted version of the German V-1 flying bomb, designated Fieseler Fi 103 Reichenberg, in 1:35 scale from Bronco. The model captures the unusual machine created by converting the unmanned V-1 missile into a version with a cockpit and rudimentary controls. The kit offers a finely shaped fuselage with the pulsejet above the tail, the wings and the pilot's cockpit.
The Fieseler Fi 103R Reichenberg was the piloted version of the V-1 flying bomb, developed in 1944. A cockpit with simple controls and a seat was built into the fuselage of the missile, which was powered by an Argus pulsejet; the pilot was to guide the machine onto the target. Although roughly 175 airframes were built and test flights took place, the Reichenberg never reached combat and the project was stopped. The model is a historically faithful reminder of this extreme weapon of the end of the war.
Separate the small parts of the cockpit and the engine carefully. Use liquid cement on the plastic and sand the fuselage joints and the wing leading edges carefully. Apply a primer, spray the paints with an airbrush and bring the surface to life with fine washes into the panel lines.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
