Wallpapers for a living scene in 1:35 scale

Sheets printed with domestic wallpapers in 1:35 scale. They will cover the wall of a room on a diorama more evenly and more quickly than it could be painted with a brush.

How to match the pattern to the rest of the scene

Wallpaper tends to be the largest continuous area in an interior scene, so it will dominate everything else. It therefore pays to choose the pattern according to what is already in the scene: a quieter wall suits dark furniture and figures in colorful clothing, whereas a bold design needs restrained surroundings, otherwise the scene falls apart into two competing halves. A thin glaze in the shade that prevails in the scene will help to even the saturation out; it unifies the tone without covering the pattern.

Before you glue the wallpaper on

• Lay the sheet against the wall dry and stand a figure beside it, and only then judge the size of the pattern.
• Make the test in the light in which the scene will be displayed; under a warm bulb the shades shift.
• Keep one offcut aside for testing paint, clear coat and glue.
• Smooth a laid sheet down with a soft cloth and let it dry weighted, so that it does not lift at the corners.
• Finally even the sheen out with a matte clear coat; a printed surface reflects light differently from the materials around it.

Who the sheets are for

For builders of interior scenes and display scenes in 1:35 scale who care about the walls as much as about the figures and furniture. The manufacturer states how many sheets the package contains and which motifs it offers. The model, figures, furniture, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
