A set of figures of an Israeli tank crew in 1:35 scale for dioramas and for completing models of armored vehicles.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of figures of an Israeli tank crew in 1:35 scale. The abbreviation IDF in the name denotes the Israel Defense Forces. Crews of Israeli tanks are among the rewarding subjects precisely because they are commonly depicted in relaxed stances in a turret opening, that is differently from the tightly equipped figures a modeler is used to with other armies.
The figures will occupy the turret and the area around a vehicle model in 1:35 scale, but they serve on a vignette too. A crew on a model does two things at once: it fills the empty openings in the turret that otherwise give away that the model is hollow inside, and it gives the machine scale, so a viewer immediately grasps how large the vehicle he sees is.
Cut the excess material and manufacturing marks off with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the rest carefully, going slowly on the faces and hands. Before painting, wash and degrease the figures and apply a thin primer. Paint in thin coats from dark shades toward light ones, leaving the shadows in the folds of the cloth and pulling the highlights onto the edges. Muted shades suit the overalls, and they benefit from fine dust on the trouser legs and the shoulders. Leave the faces and helmets for last and work on them in good light.
For builders finishing a model of an Israeli tank who want to make it look lived in, and for diorama makers. Because the equipment of the crews changed over time, it pays to compare the figures with photographs of the machine you are building them for before painting. How many figures the set contains and how many parts they are split into is given on the manufacturer's packaging.
The model of the vehicle, a base, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
