An injection-molded plastic kit of the Japanese Type 2 Ho-I armored vehicle in 1:35 scale from the Japanese manufacturer FineMolds. FineMolds is among the premium brands with a high level of detail, so this is a sought-after piece for collectors of Japanese vehicles. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Type 2 Ho-I was a Japanese vehicle of the Second World War designed as an infantry support tank and tank destroyer. It was based on the chassis of the Chi-Ha / Chi-He series of medium tanks and carried a short 75mm gun in a fully rotating two-man turret, meant to destroy fortifications and give direct fire support. It was a little-known type built in small numbers, which makes it an unusual and sought-after piece for collectors of Japanese armor.
We recommend assembling and painting the running gear before the hull is closed up. The turret and the short gun make up the characteristic silhouette — glue the small parts with thin cement for plastic and a light touch, and with FineMolds expect fine and accurate parts. Japanese vehicles are usually painted in earthy green and brown shades, often in a multi-color camouflage. The surface comes to life with washes in the recesses and pigments on the running gear (dust, mud). Check the particular period camouflage scheme and markings against the subject before spraying.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
