An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet KV-85 heavy tank in 1:35 scale. The model captures the production form of the autumn of 1943. According to the manufacturer the package contains photo-etched parts, a clear part and a decal sheet with Soviet as well as captured German markings. The exact contents are stated on the packaging.
The KV-85 came about by setting a new turret with a gun of 85 mm caliber on a hull derived from the KV-1S. The same type of gun was carried by the SU-85 and by the early T-34-85 as well. The tank appeared at the front from the autumn of 1943, and its production was fairly short before the tanks of the IS series replaced it. It served as a breakthrough heavy tank of the Red Army.
Finish the running gear and the tracks first, and then close the hull. Glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue and the plastic with thin modeling cement. Even the base out with primer, apply the paint with an airbrush and bring the surface out with washes and dust pigments on the lower areas.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
