The Land Rover Series IIA was a utility off-road vehicle with a simple ladder chassis, an aluminum body and a removable tilt over the rear part. The version with the 88-inch wheelbase was the shortest and the most maneuverable, which destined it for liaison and reconnaissance duties, for carrying small squads and for work on bases. In military service these vehicles received strengthened load attachments, jerrycan carriers and other small equipment, thanks to which they are easy to tell from civilian machines.
On a small vehicle every inaccuracy shows, so glue with a thin glue for plastic in small doses and let the joints dry thoroughly. Paint the chassis, the axles and the interior before you set the body in place. Liven a single-color military finish up by shading the centers of the surfaces and gently bringing out the edges; the large flat areas of the body will take discreet transitions too. Mask the glass before painting. At the end add dust on the lower areas, wear on the entry edges and light traces of mud on the tires.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
