A set of painting masks from the Czech maker Eduard intended for the kit of the American heavy tractor M1070 in 1:35 scale. It is neither a model nor a kit: it is an accessory that makes painting the finished kit markedly easier and better. The masks are cut from thin self-adhesive film exactly to the shape of the individual areas, so that laborious taping and cutting by hand are no longer needed.
The M1070 is an American heavy road tractor with all-wheel drive, the heart of the so-called heavy equipment transporter (HET) combination. Together with a lowbed semitrailer it serves to move the heaviest tracked equipment, for example main battle tanks, over long distances without running on their own tracks. It has a large cabin, massive tires and a number of glazed areas.
The masks cover the areas that are the hardest to mask by hand, above all the cabin glazing and the patterned tires of the large wheels. Thanks to them you get a sharp, clean boundary between the individual colors and between the window frame and the glass.
This is an accessory for a plastic kit. The model itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
