The real subject is the tracked vehicle of artillery observation and fire direction teams, derived from the American family of infantry fighting vehicles. The M7A3 version matches the later standard with upgraded electronics. The contents of the package, the number of parts and the type of tracks are not stated here.
The BFIST designation is carried by a vehicle that serves artillery observation and fire direction teams. It grows out of the tracked infantry fighting vehicle, with which it shares the hull, the running gear and the turret, but on top of that it carries an observation and targeting suite with its own extending mast. Because of that it differs from an ordinary fighting vehicle above all in the equipment on the turret and at the rear. The M7A3 version belongs to the later standards, when the vehicle took over the electronics of upgraded fighting vehicles.
Build the running gear first and check that the wheels are in line, and only then deal with the hull. Build the turret with the observation suite separately and leave it unglued; it is easier to paint and mask that way. Glue the add-on panels and boxes only after the base shade has been sprayed. The three-color scheme is done by masking, so keep the transitions hard. Before the decals, use a gloss varnish compatible with the paint you have used. Build the weathering up in layers: a wash into the engraving, fine dust on the bottom of the hull and on the running gear, a dry brush on the edges. The optics and the lenses of the observation suite deserve special attention; they bring the whole model to life.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
