The real subject

The Merkava Mk.4 is an Israeli main battle tank and it differs from most current tanks in its layout alone: the engine is at the front, so the rear is left with room for an entrance to the fighting compartment. The wedge-shaped turret carries machine guns on its roof, and it is those that are most visible on a finished model, because they sit entirely on the surface and the eye slides over them first.

What the set contains

Building and painting tips

The thin parts, that is the barrels and the frames of the mounts, break easily, so cut them off with support under the part, with a sharp blade a little away from the edge, and sand the rest. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. On the metal parts a dark base works well, after which the edges and the raised areas are picked out gently so that the shape stands out. Dry-fit the mounts on the turret roof before you apply the glue, so that the angle of the weapon is right.
