An old wooden floor in 1:35 scale for interior dioramas. A worn surface for scenes from abandoned farmhouses, workshops and ruins.

A worn floor tells more about a house than its walls do. Boards trodden down, joints opened up and missing pieces give away that the room was lived in for a long time, or that nobody lives in it at all any more. This set offers an old wooden floor prepared in 1:35 scale, that is in the format of the most widespread figures and military equipment.
An adult figure measures around five centimeters in this scale, so an area of fifteen by twenty centimeters will already carry a whole room with several figures. Lay the floor out before the walls: the joint between the floor and the wall is best hidden under a baseboard, under rubble or under a piece of furniture pushed up against the wall.
The base has to be level, otherwise every unevenness will show on the finished surface. Lay the part against it dry and set out the direction of the boards relative to the front edge of the base. Leave the traces of wear where people walked: toward the threshold, toward the window and around the table. Dust and small rubble belong in the corners and along the walls, not in the middle of the room. The maker's instructions give the specific procedure for gluing and any surface treatment.
The set suits scenes from abandoned farmhouses, barns and workshops, where it is meant to be apparent at first glance that the building has something behind it. But it will also serve as a base under a single figure, because even a small cutout of floor gives a figure surroundings and a story.
Figures, furniture, equipment and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
