Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the British 6-pounder anti-tank gun in the lightened airborne version on the Mk.III carriage, in 1:35 scale from Bronco. According to the manufacturer the box contains the gun itself, crew figures, a set of personal weapons and photo-etched parts. The gun is designed so that it can be built in the firing as well as the travel position.
The standard British 6-pounder anti-tank gun was too heavy and too wide for airborne units, so it did not fit into a glider. A lightened version on the Mk.III carriage with split, folding trails was therefore created, which could be loaded into a Horsa glider. This variant received the designation OQF 6-Pdr Mk.IV on the Mk.III carriage and is commonly called the airborne gun. The gun was an effective weapon against armor, especially in the first half of the war.
Use thin cement for plastic and bond the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Some parts can be left movable according to the instructions, so that the gun can be traversed and the barrel elevated; do not glue them solid. Build the trails either spread for firing or folded for travel. Paint the crew figures separately and set them in place only once the gun has been painted; a scene with the whole crew at the gun suits a small diorama.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
