A sheet for imitating Zimmerit on a Panther model in 1:35 scale, the type 3 pattern.
Responsibility details are not available.
Zimmerit was a paste that the German army applied to the surface of armored vehicles during the Second World War. Its ridged surface was meant to stop magnetic mines from being attached. On a model it is exactly this structure that turns a smooth side into a vehicle that looks like the real thing, which is why ready-made sheets with a raised relief are used to imitate it.
The sheet is prepared for the Panther in 1:35 scale and carries the pattern designated as type 3. The division of the individual areas, their placement on the hull and the turret and the recommended procedure are given in the manufacturer's instructions. They also state which kit the part is cut for, which matters with Zimmerit imitation, since the areas are shaped to a particular hull outline.
Before you soak the sheet, check in the instructions whether it is a self-adhesive version. A soaked self-adhesive film is ruined beyond recovery, whereas an unsoaked wet sheet can be soaked at any time later. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
