A plastic kit of a modern pickup with equipment in 1:35 scale from Meng. The real subject is a civilian 4x4 off-road pickup with a double cab converted into an improvised fighting vehicle, a so-called technical. The kit contains a 12.7 mm heavy sniper rifle, a general-purpose machine gun, a range of accessories (cooler boxes, backpacks, bottles) and one standing figure. Photo-etched parts and rubber tires are included as well. The finished model measures roughly 13 cm in length.
So-called technicals, civilian pickups with a weapon mounted on them, have become a symbol of modern asymmetric conflicts. Thanks to their availability, speed and inconspicuousness they are used by the most varied armed groups and by regular units alike. The combination of an everyday off-road vehicle with a heavy weapon gives the vehicle surprising firepower.
Bond the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue; fit the glazing and the mirrors only after the body has been sprayed. The model offers room for individual weathering: dust, mud and worn paint. Paint the weapons and the equipment separately, and the figure will bring the whole scene to life.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
