This set is an add-on detail set, not a model in its own right. It offers replacement tracks cast in resin for the Pz.Kpfw. 38(t) light tank in 1:35 scale. It replaces the factory tracks of the plastic kit and faithfully reproduces the pattern and the pitch of the links.
The Pz.Kpfw. 38(t) grew out of the Czechoslovak LT vz. 38 light tank and, after the occupation of the country, the German army took it over on a large scale. It proved itself in the opening campaigns of the Second World War and its reliable chassis became the basis for a whole series of further vehicles. The characteristic tracks are among its most conspicuous details.
Wash the parts clean of mold release agent, separate them from the casting blocks and clean them up. Assemble and glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate), and do the sanding with respiratory protection. We recommend fitting the running gear first and only then the tracks. Washes and pigments for mud and dust effects will heighten the look.
The set holds replacement tracks only. The base model, glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
