An add-on detail set, not a model in its own right. The set brings replacement tracks cast in resin in the late form for the Pz.Kpfw. 38(t) light tank and the vehicles on its chassis in 1:35 scale. The late pattern differed in the treatment of the links from the early tracks.
The chassis of the Pz.Kpfw. 38(t) went on being built through the war and served as the basis for tank destroyers and self-propelled guns. The late tracks reflect the production changes of a more advanced phase of manufacture. It is precisely the choice of the right track pattern that is the key to the fidelity of a particular vehicle variant.
Wash the parts clean of mold release agent, separate them from the casting blocks and clean them up. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate), and do the sanding with respiratory protection. Check that the late pattern matches the variant and the period you are building. Mud and dust effects are created with washes and pigments.
The set holds replacement tracks only. The base model, glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
