An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Pz.Kpfw.IV Ausf.H medium tank in 1:35 from the Ukrainian manufacturer MiniArt. It captures the early production form from the Vomag plant in May 1943. This is the interior version (Interior Kit): the model has a worked-out inside to the driver's and fighting compartments, a detailed turret with ammunition and an engine compartment. The package usually contains workable tracks, photo-etched and clear parts and decals for several variants. The exact contents are not stated here.
The Pz.Kpfw.IV was the most numerously built German tank of the Second World War and served from the beginning of the war to its end. The Ausf.H version of 1943 brought the more powerful 75 mm KwK 40 gun with a long barrel, add-on side armor skirts (Schürzen) and further changes to the armor. Early machines from the individual plants differed in detail; the Vomag form of spring 1943 is an interesting development milestone for collectors.
Glue the plastic with thin modeling cement. With the interior version it pays to paint and assemble the inside of the hull, the turret and the engine before you close the parts up; some of it can be left open for display. Finish the workable tracks and the lower hull before final assembly. Bring the surface to life with washes into the recesses, wear on the edges and dust pigments; the interior comes alive with a dry brush.
