A diorama structure of a railroad station building in 1:35 scale, worked out as a modular system. It is not a model of equipment but an architectural backdrop for a scene. The set is made up of accurately cast plaster parts (in the newer editions a harder ceramic variant) completed by laser-cut elements. The modular conception makes it possible to combine the building with further elements of the series and to adapt the arrangement to the size of the base.
A station is a rewarding subject for dioramas of the period of the Second World War and of later eras: it brings together a track, a platform and the movement of soldiers or civilians. The building makes a strong center of the action of a scene and offers a number of areas for weathering, posters and small accessories.
Plaster is easy to work and thanks to its absorbency it takes acrylic paints, washes and pigments excellently. You will glue the parts with PVA or cyanoacrylate glue, and the laser-cut parts with wood glue. The castings are brittle, so handle them carefully; small cracks can be filled and sanded. Prime the surface before painting.
The structure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
