An injection-molded plastic kit of the wheeled RG-31 armored vehicle in its Mk.3 version, in 1:35 scale from Kinetic. The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model faithfully carries over the tall body with its shaped lower hull and the weapon station on the roof; for the exact package contents and the number of parts, go by the instructions.
The RG-31 is a wheeled armored personnel carrier of the MRAP category with 4x4 drive, and its design grows out of the South African school of mine protection. The Mk.3 version served in modern missions to carry crews and infantry where mines and improvised explosives were a threat. Characteristic of it are the raised shape of the hull, which deflects the blast wave, and the roomy armored interior.
Assemble the chassis with the axles and the wheels first, and only then close the body. Use thin modeling cement on the plastic, sand the joints down and treat the surface with primer. Lay a single-color or desert finish on with an airbrush, and dust and mud pigments suit the wheel wells and the underside of the hull.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
