An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Sd.Kfz.234 heavy armored car armed with a triple mount of MG151 aircraft cannons (the Drilling) in 1:35 scale from MiniArt. It is a richly detailed kit with a well worked out hull interior, photo-etched parts and a sheet with several marking options. The open weapon station with its three barrels is a prominent feature of the model.
The Sd.Kfz.234 was a German 8x8 heavy reconnaissance armored car of the end of the Second World War with good mobility and range. The word Drilling is German for a triple mount and refers to three MG151 aircraft cannons coupled together, an arrangement that appeared on late-war equipment as effective anti-aircraft and ground fire armament. The combination of a mobile 8x8 chassis and a rapid-firing trio of barrels gave the vehicle great firepower.
Paint and shade the detailed hull interior and the weapon station before you close it up. Paint the vehicle with an airbrush over a primer, blend late-war schemes (a combination of several shades, for instance) with smooth transitions, bring out the pressings with a wash and dust the running gear down with pigments. Glue the fine photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
