This is a supplementary set of workable individual link tracks in 1:35 scale, not a model of a vehicle. The tracks are made up of separate plastic links, which stay movable once assembled and follow the sag of the track over the rollers faithfully. The set is intended for the Sherman versions with a lengthened hull and a correspondingly longer run of the running gear.
The extended T49 track type with a three-bar steel tread was used on tanks with a longer hull and the matching layout of the VVSS running gear. The set suits models of the M4A4 Sherman with the Chrysler A57 engine, the British Sherman Firefly Vc conversion and the M3A4 Lee medium tank. It replaces soft rubber band tracks or the simplified tracks from the box with a more faithful, movable solution.
Clean the links carefully of sprue gates and flash, so that the pins fit into one another smoothly. Glue with liquid cement for plastic in spots, so that the movement is kept, or join the links only mechanically. Let the assembled track settle on the model to the shape of the rollers, and only then fix it. For a realistic look a dark base, metallic dry brushing of the tread and an application of dust pigments suit it well.
This is an accessory (the tracks), not a complete model. The tank kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
