This is a resin replacement for the running gear tracks of the T-48 type with rubber shoes for models of the American Sherman tank with VVSS running gear in 1:35 scale. The set faithfully captures the chevron pattern of the T-48 shoes and replaces the tracks from the box. It is not a tank kit but a detail accessory for the running gear.
In the VVSS form (vertical volute spring suspension) the Sherman used a number of track types. The T-48 was among the tracks with rubber shoes with a chevron pattern and is typical of many machines of the Second World War; the right type of track matters for the fidelity of the model.
Wash the parts clean of mold release agent, separate them from the casting blocks and clean them up with respiratory protection. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Set the rubber shoes apart from the metal parts with a dark matte shade; washes and pigments will build the weathering.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
