This plastic kit captures the Soviet 45 mm antitank gun in its 1941 version in 1:35 scale. The model is meant to be glued and painted and offers a detailed rendering of the carriage, the gun barrel and the shield of this widespread light gun.
The 45 mm calibers were among the most widespread Soviet antitank guns of the Second World War. This was a light, easily moved gun served by a small squad, and it formed the backbone of the antitank defense of the Red Army infantry in the early period of the war. It combined a low silhouette, easy transport and respectable penetrating power against the light and medium tanks of the day.
Separate and clean up the fine parts of the carriage and the shield carefully. We recommend painting the assembly with an airbrush in a uniform Soviet green and then bringing out the details with a wash and dry-brushing. The gun shows to advantage in a diorama with a crew and ammunition; fix the barrel and the moving parts only after painting.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
