Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:35 scale from the Zvezda brand. The model represents the Soviet self-propelled gun of the Second World War period built on the proven chassis of the T-34 medium tank. The package holds plastic sprues, tracks in individual links and decals for Soviet machines; the exact contents are given on the packaging.
The SU-122 came about at the beginning of 1943 as an assault self-propelled gun. A 122 mm howitzer was built into a fully armored superstructure on the hull of the T-34, intended for direct fire support of the infantry and for destroying fortifications. The machine proved itself in the assault gun role; later, in the anti-tank role, it was replaced by better suited types such as the SU-85. The low silhouette and the massive howitzer give the model a striking, easily recognized look.
First assemble the running gear and fit the tracks, and only then close the hull up. Glue the plastic with thin liquid cement and apply primer before painting. Lay the Soviet green on with an airbrush; depth comes from darker washes in the joints and earth pigments on the running gear, which suggest the mud and dust of the Eastern Front.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
