An injection-molded plastic kit of the German infantry fighting vehicle Schützenpanzer Puma in 1:35 scale from the brand Hobby Boss. This is the present-day tracked machine, not the armored car Sd.Kfz. 234/2 of the Second World War that carries the same name.
The Puma is an infantry fighting vehicle of the German Bundeswehr which replaced the older Marder type. The main armament consists of a 30 mm automatic cannon in an unmanned turret, complemented by a coaxial machine gun and an anti-tank missile system. The crew consists of a commander, a gunner and a driver, and an infantry squad is carried in the rear compartment. A characteristic feature is the modular armor, which can be added to according to the task so that the vehicle can either be moved by air or, on the contrary, be given the highest level of protection. Its suspension is separated from the hull, which reduces noise and vibration inside. The vehicle is part of present-day equipment.
The large flat surfaces of the hull and the turret will reveal every imperfect joint, so sand the joints and spray the surface with primer. Finish the running gear before fitting the side panels. Present-day German vehicles are painted either in a single shade or in the three-color European camouflage, which can be sprayed over masking putty. Keep the wear restrained, as these are vehicles in active service. A dark wash will handle bringing out the panels and the hatches, and concentrate the dust on the running gear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
