T-34/85 No.183 Factory Berlin 1945 1:35 from Academy is a plastic kit of the Soviet tank with protective screens against hand-held anti-tank weapons from the fighting for Berlin.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet T-34/85 medium tank in 1:35 scale from Academy, done as a vehicle from Factory No. 183 in the configuration used for the final fighting for Berlin. Its characteristic features are the additional grilles and frames welded onto the hull and the turret, which were meant to set off Panzerfausts prematurely. The package holds parts in gray and black plastic, a photo-etched fret and tracks of the link-and-length type.
The T-34/85 was the ultimate version of the legendary Soviet medium tank, with a three-man turret and an 85 mm gun. In the final fighting of the Second World War, above all in the urban setting of Berlin, crews improvised extra slat armor on their vehicles against German hand-held anti-tank weapons. Factory No. 183 in Nizhny Tagil was the largest producer of T-34 tanks.
Glue the photo-etched grilles patiently with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) and keep the frames parallel. Assemble the running gear and the tracks separately. An airbrush suits the Russian green; the white tactical stripes and numbers of the 1945 fighting are typical, and you can complete the wear with rubbing, washes and dust pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
