Responsibility details are not available.
The T-80U is the most widespread upgraded version of the T-80 battle tank, which differs from the other machines of its generation in its power plant. Instead of a diesel engine it received a gas turbine, so it accelerates smoothly and runs conspicuously quietly, but consumes markedly more fuel. The main armament is a 125 mm smoothbore gun complemented by an autoloader, which saves the crew one man.
The turret and the front of the hull carry blocks of explosive reactive armor, which give the whole machine a boxy, clad look. The silhouette is low, there are six road wheels on each side of the hull and rubber side skirts cover the sides. It is precisely these elements that decide whether the model looks like a T-80U once it is finished, and it is worth giving them the most time during the build.
It is a plastic kit in 1:35 scale, that is a collection of plastic parts which you assemble and paint yourself. The model is supplied unassembled and without a finish. The extent of the set, the number of parts and the choice of marking variants are given in the maker's instructions enclosed with the package.
Before gluing, clean the parts of excess material and of marks left by production, sand the mating surfaces and glue the dry-fitted assembly standing upright, so that the hull does not sit crooked. Wash and degrease the whole model before painting. Turbine tanks tend to have strong traces of soot and dust at the rear, so it makes sense to pick out the exhaust area and the lower hull.
Paints, glue and accessory sets are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
