Hobby Boss T26E4 Super Pershing Pilot No. 1 in 1:35 scale is a kit of the American tank with a long gun and add-on armor.

This injection-molded plastic kit from Hobby Boss represents the American T26E4 tank, nicknamed the Super Pershing, in its Pilot No. 1 prototype form. The set offers a richly detailed exterior and running gear, a choice of individual link or vinyl tracks, a detailed engine compartment and photo-etched parts. The model therefore lets you show the technical areas open as well.
The Super Pershing came out of the effort to increase the firepower of the Pershing tank by fitting a new long 90 mm gun of the T15E1 type. This had a considerably higher muzzle velocity than the standard 90 mm gun and came close in performance to the German 88 mm gun of the Tiger II. The Pilot No. 1 prototype served for trials; a single combat-deployed vehicle later came out of the project in Europe in 1945.
First finish the running gear and any engine compartment you want to reveal. Glue the photo-etched parts and the multi-part barrel carefully, and the metal elements with cyanoacrylate. The basis is a matte olive laid on with an airbrush. Bring out the welds, hatches and engraving with a dark wash, lift the edges and the add-on armor with drybrushing and finish the dust or mud on the running gear with pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
