A kit of the three-wheeled Tempo A400 Kastenwagen delivery vehicle with a box body in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Tempo A400 Kastenwagen was a light three-wheeled delivery vehicle with an enclosed box body. Three-wheeled vehicles of this kind were popular in the 1930s and 1940s with small tradesmen and delivery services: they cost little to buy and to run, they were nimble in narrow streets and they carried enough to earn a living with. In a collection of military and civilian vehicles it is a rewarding piece, because it resembles nothing else on the shelf.
The kit in 1:35 scale is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The building sequence, the order of work and the recommended colors are given in the manufacturer's instructions enclosed with the package. The substantial box body gives the model a striking mass and at the same time a large area for paint, so the result stands or falls with the quality of the surface.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade and sand the production marks flat, so that the seams are not left visible. Try the assembly of the body dry first and only then glue it, otherwise the flat surfaces will easily warp. Apply the paint in several thin coats; one heavy coat will flood the fine edges. Worn spots on the edges and a light dusting of the underside will give the finished vehicle scale and bring the shape out.
The kit suits collectors of vehicles in 1:35 scale and modelers looking for an interesting addition to a diorama of a European town. Paints, glue and thinner are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
