It is modern tooling with fine surface detail, a detailed turret with heavy armament and a well-worked running gear. The model captures the characteristic low turret with combined armament that sets this vehicle apart from a conventional tank.
The Terminator-2 is a Russian tank support fighting vehicle, in Russian abbreviated BMPT (boyevaya mashina podderzhki tankov). It was created in response to the experience of fighting in built-up areas, where tanks are vulnerable to infantry armed with anti-tank weapons. The vehicle is built on a proven tank chassis and carries combined armament, typically twin automatic cannon, anti-tank guided missiles and grenade launchers. Its task is to move with the tanks and destroy infantry, anti-tank teams and lightly armored targets that threaten them.
Finish the running gear and the lower hull first, then close the hull up. Glue the plastic with liquid cement for plastic and assemble the tracks according to the instructions. Apply a primer under the paint and spray with an airbrush. The richly detailed turret with its armament rewards edge highlighting with a dry brush and washes in the gaps. Use earth and dust pigments on the running gear, the fenders and the underside for realistic patina.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
