Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched brass detail set for refining the engine compartment of the plastic kit of the American M551 Sheridan light tank in 1:35 scale, specifically the Tamiya 35365 kit. The set is not a stand-alone model; it replaces the molded plastic grilles with fine etched parts that are genuinely see-through.
The M551 Sheridan was an American light airborne tank developed for rapid deployment. It was armed with a unique 152 mm weapon able to launch guided missiles as well, and it proved itself in combat above all during the Vietnam War. The cooling grilles on the engine deck are a rewarding place for etched refinement.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife or etch scissors and form the bends with a photo-etch bending tool. Use super glue for bonding, degrease the metal before painting and treat it with primer. An airbrush helps to cover the fine mesh evenly.
An accessory for advanced modelers; the basic kit, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
