Twelve 3D-printed road wheels with fine detail for the M36 Jackson tank destroyer in 1:35 scale. Intended for Tamiya kits and others.
Responsibility details are not available.
The M36 Jackson was a US tank destroyer from the end of the Second World War, which put a powerful gun on the tracked chassis proven in the medium tanks. The road wheels are seen close up on the model and in a row side by side, so every inaccuracy of shape and every seam from the injection mold shows on them.
The set brings twelve 3D-printed road wheels in 1:35 scale, that is six for each side of the running gear. They are intended for the M36 kits from Tamiya and for models from other makers. Printing holds the crisp detail of the disc and the transition to the tire around the whole circumference, with no parting seam on the axis of the wheel.
The wheels are held on print supports. Cut them off with a sharp scalpel or a fine saw, sand the remains away and level the seating face of the hub, so that the wheel sits square. Wash and degrease the surface, or the paint will not hold on the print resin residue. The material is not polystyrene, so use cyanoacrylate glue. Paint the wheels before fitting them to the running gear, because the tire is easier to separate from the disc with a brush and dust is then applied to the whole underside of the vehicle at once.
The set is meant for builders of Allied equipment in 1:35 scale who want the running gear of their M36 clean and consistent. Replacing the wheels is one of the quickest ways to lift a model above out-of-the-box condition.
The package contains only the accessory named. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
